Capcom vs. SNK 2 PS2 Classic news is coming next year

Ken and Joe for life

Capcom vs. SNK 2 is one of my most played fighting games of all time (and was probably my best game, tourney wise). The cast of characters is diverse, the controls were tight, and it had a ton of content to keep you going (custom color schemes were amazing).

Now all of you can relive that classic experience at some point as a PS2 Classic, as Capcom is bringing Capcom vs. SNK 2 and Capcom Fighting Evolution [Capcom Fighting Jam] to the PSN — we just don’t have a solid release date yet. Since this is the console version, you’ll get Orochi Iori and Evil Ryu in addition to the already gigantic cast.

When asked if the pair was ever going to see a release outside of Japan, Capcom’s Christian Svensson stated,  “Eventually. The timing will be quite different though from Japan. More news will come ‘next year’.”

Well, time to start warming up with my Terry, Joe, Blanka, Akuma, Ken, Kyosuke, Haohmaru, Evil Ryu, and…well, everyone basically, because this is one of the best fighting game rosters of all time.
