Yoshinori Ono spoke today at the PlayStation 4 event, live in New York, and highlighted Capcom’s history with PlayStation consoles, explaining how Sony allowed them to blossom with titles like Devil May Cry, Onimusha, Street Fighter, Resident Evil, and Monster Hunter.

But the real bombshell was a brand new engine built for the PlayStation 4 by Capcom, code named “Panta Rhei.” A brand new IP with the working title Deep Down was shown, in what seems to be a medieval setting, not unlike Dragon’s Dogma or Dark/Demon’s Souls.

In addition to some action oriented gameplay, the trailer showed off some of the social functions of the game, including a cry for help in-game using the PlayStation 4’s UI. Whatever this game turns out to be, I’m there!
