Continuing the trend of not completely screwing over its customers, Criterion Games is looking to give PC players a taste of the excellent Burnout Paradise, and a mighty fine taste at that.
The company will be releasing a demo in February which will allow us to “play through the start of the full game for a limited period,” and includes the very same online multiplayer found in the retail version of Burnout Paradise.
After you have installed and played the trial, unlocking the full game will be as easy as entering in a product key from the in-game Burnout Store.
Not only does this model discourage pirating the game (no word on DRM yet), but it also gives potential customers an opportunity to make sure Burnout Paradise will run on their system at a satisfactory level.
Keep up the good work, guys!
