First weekend event starts Friday

If you’ve been meaning to register for the Overwatch beta and haven’t yet, get on that! Blizzard is holding its first weekend beta event for the team-based shooter from Friday, November 20 at 9:00am Pacific to Monday, November 23 at 9:00am Pacific. Three whole days of stress testing.

With this and future weekend events, “a lot more players” in North America and Europe will be brought into the beta. (And folks who have closed beta access are invited, too.) The whole 21-hero roster will be playable on three maps: Hanamura, King’s Row, and Watchpoint: Gibraltar.

“To help us get the most out of this testing phase, we will be flagging accounts for the Beta Test Weekend a little early, during a scheduled maintenance on Thursday, November 19. We encourage all new recruits to use this additional time to download and install the beta client so you can be ready for action once servers come back online.”

Despite being hooked on Heroes of the Storm, Legacy of the Void, and Battlefront, I want in on this. I’ll clear my schedule!
