Blades of Time’s producer can’t find his own game

I’ve made it a personal mission to excessively cover Blades of Time for no other reason than I find Konami’s lack of marketing utterly fascinating. The game allegedly launched yesterday, but you’ll be lucky if you can find a copy.

I visited my local Best Buy to see about grabbing one for review (not sure if Konami’s sending them at all), and the clerk solemnly shook his head. The store had not received a single one. However, if it’s bad for me, it must be even worse for the game’s producer, Tak Fujii, who told me that he couldn’t track down a copy himself while visiting the States this week.

“Shipped in 6th, that’s what I have been told,” declared the extreme producer. “Big shame on me, producer, visits retailer and find no copies yet in San Francisco.”

Fuji let me know that “some” retailers should have them in stock, but couldn’t name any names. He also assured me that Blades of Time was an “Extreeeeme title.” Always good to know!

God, I love Tak Fujii!
