Microids has unfortunately announced that the Nintendo Switch port of anthro-adventure Blacksad: Under the Skin will miss its scheduled November 5 release date, although it should be available by the end of 2019.

“In order to offer you the best investigation possible, Blacksad: Under the Skin’s release is postponed to the end of 2019 on Nintendo Switch” said the publisher on Twitter.

The gritty detective game, adapted from the Spanish comic book series, is set in an alternate 1950’s New York, populated by anthropomorphic versions of familiar noir characters, and sees hard-boiled private dick John Blacksad investigating the murder of a boxing club owner. Under the Skin will retain the visual style and grim atmosphere typified by original Blacksad writer Juan Díaz Canales and artist Juanjo Guarnido

Blacksad: Under the Skin will launch on PS4, PC and Xbox One November 5.
