Black Ops First Strike DLC download problems (update)

Microsoft has acknowledged that Call of Duty: Black Ops fans might be having difficulty downloading the exclusive First Strike map pack, which launched this morning for $15. 

According to an service alert, users might not be able to download the $15 content from their dashboard, and has instead told customers that they can spend their $15 on Xbox Live’s web-based marketplace, or via the Black Ops in-game storefront. 

“Users may be unable to purchase the following DLC for Call of Duty Black Ops: First Strike: Pack 1 when using the Xbox 360 console,” said Microsoft of the $15 map pack. “This content is available in the COD Black Ops in game store and from We are aware of the problem and are working to resolve the issue. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and thank you for your patience.”

Call of Duty: Black Ops‘ First Strike DLC is only available for the Xbox 360 at the time of writing and costs $15.
