Bethesda wants you to name your baby Dovahkiin

Bethesda’s Pete Hines is encouraging child abuse in the name of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. If you’re expecting a baby to arrive on Skyrim‘s launch date of November 11, 2011, the developer will offer a special reward to anybody who calls their baby Dovahkiin.

According to the pretend language of Skyrim, Dovahkiin translates to “Dragon Born.” The reward that Pete Hines is offering remains a mystery at the moment, but Bethesda promised it “will not ultimately justify the potential teasing your child could – and probably will – endure over its lifespan.”

So, if you are a heartless sociopath and you’re having a baby on 11/11/11, give it an awful name so Pete Hines can give you a present.
