‘Stay tuned for more information’
Just in case you haven’t played the original Rage and don’t understand the gist — think post-apocalyptic wasteland, and you’re just about on the money. Rage 2, after being outed by a Walmart leak, is now confirmed by Bethesda, and today they just dropped the first gameplay footage.
Shown by way of a one minute trailer we’re given a quick rundown of the narrative, in a world “devoid of society, law, and order” (yep, checks out). The game promises an open world format with Avalanche Studios and id Software at the helm, with the backdrop of its 2185 set hellscape.
So far I haven’t seen anything particularly interesting that makes my ears perk up, but I’ll be keeping an eye on this one. It sure ticks all of the “AAA hype” boxes though for some folks — first-person shooter, open world, post-apoc.
