[Update:  Bethesda’s Fallout 76 2022 plans are now live, and include spring, summer, fall, and winter updates. You can find the full rundown below.]

Bethesda’s Fallout 76 2022 plans are coming soon, as the studio is set to release a roadmap for the rest of the year.

According to a new blog post, that news includes “exciting plans” for the game, which are coming later this year. Season 8 is teased, as is the Invaders from Beyond update we knew about (that we now know is coming on March 1); but after that, a community calendar is coming for spring, alongside of news on what to expect for the remainder of 2022. It’s good news for fans, as development doesn’t seem to be slowing down anytime soon: at least throughout the rest of the year.

Here’s the full statement:

“We know that we’ve been a little light on announcements in recent weeks, and that’s because we’re working hard on what’s to come. We’ve got exciting plans in store for Fallout 76 this year, and we can hardly wait to share a look at them with the community in our 2022 Roadmap a little later this month.

Stay tuned to Fallout.com over the coming weeks for an in-depth look at the Invaders from Beyond Update in our next Dev Dive Video, catch a preview of Fallout 76 Season 8, an all-new Community Calendar for Spring, and of course, this year’s Roadmap. Thank you to everyone in the community for sticking with us, and for continuing to help us make Appalachia the greatest place to spend our post-apocalyptic days.”

In the near future, Fasnacht Day is underway, and is set to run through February 22. As a reminder, Fasnacht Day mirrors the real-life celebration (which is held in many places, as well as Helvetia, West Virginia), and provides players with XP and goodies, amid seasonal activities.

The “extra weekly challenge” bonus is also in effect now for the season pass board, which provides “a few extra” challenges to get you over the edge to max out your rank in the pass.

SPRING

Appalachia is besieged by otherworldly forces in Invaders From Beyond, featuring all-new Public Events and even random encounters (of a third kind) as you fend off the alien threat with your teammates. Spring will also see a Fallout Worlds update adding the ability to earn SCORE, plus the release of Season 8: A Better Life Underground!

SUMMER

Don your best armor, weapons and Perk Cards and step into battle! New Public Events arrive in Appalachia, including Test Your Metal – featuring arena fights against deadly automatons! This summer also includes upgrades to Fallout 1st scoreboard progression and a new Season.

FALL

Go beyond Appalachia’s borders in Expeditions: The Pitt! Visit post-nuclear Pittsburgh and take on new Missions , engage with new NPCs, battle new foes and of course, earn new rewards . In addition to The Pitt, players can also look forward to a new Season to boot !

WINTER

The Fizziest Show on Earth comes to Appalachia! Nuka World on Tour introduces a traveling roadshow making a stop in the area, toting along a new Season, Public Events and region boss! Step on up, you won’t want to miss out on the fun.

We hope you’re as excited for another year of questing, C.A.M.P.-ing and more as we are. And if any of you are new to the scene, this is a great time to jump on board! Grab some friends, pack your bags and make way to irradiated wilderness of Appalachia in Fallout 76 today!
