Best Yaoyao healer builds in Genshin Impact

Go get 'em, Yuegui!

Yaoyao is a 4-star Dendro healer in Genshin Impact with both on-field and off-field support capabilities. Here are the best weapons and artifacts to maximize your Yaoyao’s healing!

Weapons

Favonius Lance / Rightful Reward / Kitain Cross Spear

These 4-star Polearms all have passives that generate energy. If Yaoyao is using her Burst, then these three will be your best options.

Moonpiercer

If Yaoyao is not using her Burst, then she can equip Moonpiercer to grant teammates an ATK buff when triggering a reaction. You have to pick up the leaf to receive the buff though, and sometimes, the leaf can spawn inside of enemies where you can’t reach.

Black Tassel

Black Tassel is a 3-star Polearm with a high HP secondary stat. Its passive isn’t very useful, but it will result in the most healing.

Artifact sets

Yaoyao’s best artifact set depends heavily on your team. The suggestions below aren’t necessarily ranked. Choose based on what’s best for your team and easiest to obtain.

4pc Deepwood Memories (4DM)

If your team primarily does Dendro damage through Spread or Hyperbloom, 4pc Deepwood Memories is a must.

4pc Tenacity of the Millelith (4TotM) / 4pc Noblesse Oblige (4NO)

These sets are options if your team benefits from ATK buffs. Yuegui’s attacks can maintain good uptime on 4pc Tenacity of the Millelith’s buffs. You will also need to Burst every rotation to proc the 4pc Noblesse Oblige effect.

4pc The Exile

4pc Exile is a good generalist option if you already have 4pc Deepwood Memories on another teammate. The extra energy when Yaoyao Bursts can help make rotations more comfortable. Since this is a 4-star artifact set with lower stats, be aware that your Yaoyao may heal less than she would with a 5-star artifact set.

4pc Instructor

In Aggravate teams or teams where another character already has 4pc Deepwood Memories, Yaoyao can hold 4pc Instructor to grant her team an Elemental Mastery buff. Yaoyao also has to be on-field to proc the 4pc Instructor effect, so make sure she stays on-field long enough to trigger a reaction. This is also a 4-star artifact set, so Yaoyao may heal a bit less when holding this set.

If Yaoyao is not using 4pc Noblesse Oblige or 4pc Exile, then she may not need to Burst at all. In such cases, you can ignore Energy Recharge altogether. The healing from Yaoyao’s Skill alone is much weaker than her Burst though, so it may not be sufficient for Nilou or Furina teams.

If Yaoyao is using her Burst, she can require 180-200% Energy Recharge. You can get away with less by using Kitain Cross Spear or Favonius weapons.

Aside from Energy Recharge, focus on HP and Healing Bonus stats. Consider using a CRIT Rate circlet if using Favonius Lance. Elemental Mastery substats will help with Yaoyao’s damage, but should not be a priority.
