Yaoyao’s Ascension materials in Genshin Impact

Yaoyao is a 4-star Dendro healer in Genshin Impact, and since her healing scales with her max HP, you’ll want to Ascend her to level 90 as soon as you can. Here are all of the Ascension materials you’ll need to get her there!

Character Ascension

Dendro Hypostasis

Yaoyao uses Quelled Creepers to Ascend, which drop from the Dendro Hypostasis world boss in the desert area of Sumeru. Make sure to bring a Dendro character while farming. The Dendro Hypostasis may be immune to Dendro damage, but you will need to hit each of its three seeds with Dendro attacks to prevent it from reviving.

You’ll need 46 Quelled Creepers in total, which will take an average of 18 boss runs or about 720 Resin at World Level 8.

Jueyun Chilis

Jueyun Chilis are a local specialty of Liyue and are plentiful around Qingce Village and the mountains of Minlin. They grow in clusters of three, so while there are only 53 Jueyun Chili plants in the overworld, you should have no trouble collecting them.

Yaoyao will need 168 Jueyun Chilis in total. One run through the overworld may not be enough, but you can also buy Jueyun Chilis from certain vendors or grow them in your teapot.

Slime Condensate

Slimes are ubiquitous in all regions of Teyvat. Regardless of their element, they all drop the same type of materials.

To fully Ascend Yaoyao, you’ll need 18 Slime Condensate, 30 Slime Secretions, and 36 Slime Concentrate, though these figures don’t account for her Talent leveling.

Nagadus Emerald

Since she’s a Dendro character, Yaoyao uses Nagadus Emeralds for her character Ascension. These are included in the drop pool of the Dendro Hypostasis, so you can obtain them while farming for her world boss materials.

Yaoyao will need 1 Sliver, 9 Fragments, 9 Chunks, and 6 Gemstones to achieve level 90.

Talent Levels

Diligence Books

Yaoyao uses Diligence books to level up her Talents. These can be farmed from the Liyue Talent domain on Tuesdays, Fridays, and Sundays.

Yaoyao needs 9 brown books, 63 silver books, and 114 gold books to fully level her Talents. This translates to roughly 2,480 Resin, depending on your luck.

Slime Condensate

Slimes can be found everywhere in Teyvat. All slimes drop the same class of resources, regardless of element.

Yaoyao’s Talents require 18 Slime Condensate, 66 Slime Secretions, and 93 Slime Concentrate to go from level 1 to 10.

Daka’s Bell

Yaoyao’s weekly boss materials are Daka’s Bells, which drop from the Scaramouche boss domain in Sumeru City. You will need to have progressed through the Sumeru Archon Quests to have unlocked the domain in the overworld, but if you haven’t, you can participate in the challenge through your Adventurer’s Handbook.

Yaoyao’s Talents will need 18 Bells in total. This means around 8 weeks of farming, depending on your drop luck.
