Do note that some camera settings we have below have some ranges to them. You may want to try different values in those entries to better suit how you play the game. With that said, change your preset to the following so you can start making your own adjustments.

  • Camera Preset: Custom
  • Camera Shake: Off
  • Field of View: 110
  • Distance: 260 – 280
  • Height: 90 – 110
  • Angle: -3
  • Stiffness: 0.35 – 0.50
  • Swivel Speed: 4.00 – 4.70
  • Transition Speed: 1.00
  • Invert Swivel: Player preference

While Camera Shake might look cool paired with all the different graphics from boosts, goals, and other effects, it will most likely hinder your gameplay. It’s best to have it off, since you want to get the right angle to hit the ball, especially when you may have others crashing into you.

Also, the FOV slider will be turned on to the max so you can see more of what’s going on in this game. It’ll also be easier to deal with the ball when you have Ball Cam toggled on.

For distance and height, we set a good middle ground so that you can still see what’s going on when grounded, but you get a good aerial view for when the ball gets launched. Having a solid view of the sky will allow you to act quicker when you see the ball coming from above.

The Angle will complement the previous two options so that you have a balanced view between the sky and ground. It’s good for when you start mastering techniques on the ground like dribbling and aerial movement so you don’t have to compromise for either.

Having a Stiffness and Swivel Speeds in the middle ranges makes controlling your car a lot easier. It’ll make more advanced techniques a lot easier since your camera will respond better to fast movements without ruining the flow between Free Cam and Ball Cam.

Finally, for Transition Speed, keeping it at 1 will prevent the camera from making some hyper-fast movement that can disorient you.
