Halloween: The Game is now available on PC and consoles, and you might have to tweak a fair number of settings if you are playing on the former. The general optimization of this game is not quite up to the mark, and it can lead to several problems if you are playing in a multiplayer session.

That said, you can reasonably improve the situation with a few changes.

Best Halloween: The Game graphics settings

Before I deep dive into the settings, here’s a quick summary of my specs.

  • 32 GB of DDR4 RAM
  • AMD Ryzen 7 5700X
  • AMD Radeon 9060XT 16 GB

I have focused this guide more towards devices that are closer to the minimum specifications. If you have a high-powered PC, you won’t need to make too many changes.

  • Resolution: Go with the native resolution of your monitor.
  • Vsync: Turn this on during multiplayer sessions if you’re getting lags and freezes.
  • Frame Rate Limit: Set this to 60 FPS because anything above seems to cause stutters.
  • Gamma: Default
  • Motion Blur: Off
  • Ray Tracing: Off (Unless you have an extremely high-powered PC)
  • Upscaling Method: Off. However, turn this on if you’re getting performance issues.
  • Resolution Scale: 100%.
  • Upscaling Quality: Performance.
  • FSR Frame Generation: Off
  • Anti-Aliasing Quality: Medium
  • Effects Quality: Low
  • Foliage Quality: Low
  • Post-Process Quality: Medium
  • Shading Quality: Low
  • Shadow Quality: Low
  • Texture Quality: Medium
  • View Distance: Medium
  • Global Illumination Quality: Low
  • Reflection Quality: Low

If you have a high-power PC, you can set most things to High and just roll along. However, Halloween: The Game badly requires few updates post launch to stabilize the optimization issues we have on our hand.
