Best BAL-27 Warzone loadout: Attachments, perks, and equipment

One buff away from being special.

Warzone Season 3 Reloaded turned the clock back to 2014’s Advanced Warfare and added the best AR from the decade-old title. Yet does the iconic BAL-27 dominate just as much in a battle royale as it did in multiplayer?

Raven Software shook up Warzone’s long-range meta in Season 3 Reloaded by nerfing the RAM-7 and SOA Subverter. Players have already crowned the SVA 545 as the next best option for medium to long range engagements, but the BAL-27 would like to have a word. Here is everything you need to know about the new AR’s place in Warzone.

  • Muzzle: ZEHM35 Compensated Flash Hider
  • Barrel: Crown-H3 Barrel
  • Underbarrel: Bruen Heavy Support Grip
  • Magazine: 60 Round Mag
  • Stock: Sandbard Heavy Stock

Without attachments to help improve recoil, the BAL-27 will feel like it’s bouncing all over the place while firing and too inconsistent to reliably take out an enemy 30 meters away or further. We did our best to mask that deficiency, but this AR still, unfortunately, gets outclassed in that category by other options. With that being said, the Sandbar Heavy Stock greatly improves recoil control, gun kick, aiming idle sway, and firing stability. In addition, the Bruen Heavy Support Grip also checks off all of those boxes to make the AR shoot more predictably.

Next up, the ZEHM35 Compesnated Flash Hider addresses vertical and horizontal recoil concerns, while the Crown-H3 Barrel slightly extends the BAL-27’s damage range and improves bullet velocity. And finally, the 60 Round Mag makes it easier to take on multiple enemies at once. With a buff this weapon could potentially be meta in Warzone. But for now it’s nothing more than a refreshing change of pace and a shot of nostalgia.

Best BAL-27 perks and equipment in Warzone

  • Perk Package
    • Perk 1: Double Time
    • Perk 2: Sleight of Hand
    • Perk 3: Tempered
    • Perk 4: High Alert
  • Secondary Weapon: Striker 9
  • Lethal: Breacher Drone
  • Tactical: Smoke Grenade

Perks come down to personal preference, but this is the best possible combination of options for Season 3. Movement is already improved in Warzone thanks to the MW3 mechanics, but Double Time takes things to the next level by enhancing the duration and refresh rate of Tac Sprint.

Sleight of Hand will come in handy when reloading a weapon fast in the heat of a gunfight, as the perk reduces reload times. Plates are always hard to come by, so Tempered reduces the full armor requirement from three plates to two. Finally, High Alert pings your screen when an enemy is looking at you, which removes the feeling of being helpless of your surroundings.

As a long-range meta weapon, we recommend using a meta short-range SMG to complement the AR, such as the Striker 9. For your equipment, the two best options are the Breacher Drone and Smoke Grenade for a lethal combination of defense and offense.
