An all-purpose SMG that beats most guns in Warzone season 2.

The SMG weapon class in Call of Duty Warzone has plenty to choose from. One of the most versatile options is the AMR9. It’s one of the only SMGs that’s viable at nearly any range but is also easy to build for close-range encounters.

One of the most significant reasons to use the AMR9 at all ranges is its mobility. It’s lightweight and maneuverable in ways you just won’t find with assault rifles or LMGs for Season 2. To that point, we’ve got some tips for making your AMR9 the best it can be.

Best AMR9 build for Warzone at most ranges

Creating the best AMR9 build usable at any range in Warzone requires buffing ranged damage, adding stabilization/accuracy, and a big drum magazine. You won’t want to run out of ammo and constantly need to reload mid-fight when an enemy player is unloading a 100-round LMG into you. Luckily, the AMR9 has everything it needs.

  • Zehmn35 Compensated Flash Hider Muzzle
  • AMR9 Enforcer Long Barrel
  • Bruen Heavy Support Grip Underbarrel
  • 50 Round Drum Magazine
  • Nydar Model 2023, Slate Reflector, or whichever optic you prefer that’s viable at most ranges.

Next, a close-range version of the AMR9 changes a few things. You’ll no longer need increased damage range or as much recoil control. Close-range combat is much easier to hit shots, even if your gun is kicking a little. Additionally, we can add more mobility instead of trying to increase the long-range damage of the weapon.

  • AVR-T90 Comp Muzzle
  • Phantom Grip (Rear)
  • TA Venom Stock
  • 50 Round Drum Magazine
  • MK.3 Reflector or optic of choice

Whichever version of the AMR9 SMG you find useful, it’s sure to be one of your best options for Warzone season 2. Use it at all ranges or as a close-range-only SMG. Either way, it’s easy to hit shots with and keep you moving quickly through the battlefield.
