It’s already available for some players
Activision is bringing Call of Duty: Warzone to mobile devices. Android and iOS players will have the chance to check out the console-level battle royale on a smartphone in the near future with the impending worldwide Warzone Mobile release date.
Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile worldwide release date
The Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile release date is a slightly complicated situation. The mobile battle royale experience is already available for some players around the world. If you are in the following countries, you can download and play the game right now on Android and iOS devices:
- Australia: It has been available since November 2022
- Chile: Available since March 24, 2023
- Norway: Available since March 24, 2023
- Sweden: Available since March 24, 2023
Unfortunately, everyone outside of those regions will have to wait until the full release to check out Warzone Mobile. The worldwide Warzone Mobile release date hasn’t been announced yet. However, there are hints to the possible worldwide release via the North American App Store listing.
When you go to pre-register for the battle royale game, it shows the anticipated release date as May 15, 2023. This expected release date is always subject to change, but given that the game is already available in other countries, it could potentially be the real date.
How to play Warzone Mobile right now
For those players who are eager to jump into Warzone Mobile right now, there are theoretically ways to do it. With the power of VPNs, it is possible to access another region’s App Store for your device and download the game. However, we have to warn that this is a method that Activision doesn’t intend players to use. You could run into possible performance and lag issues.
Warzone Mobile is an exciting new release, seemingly replacing the wildly successful Call of Duty Mobile as the premier place for mobile battle royale matches. It will be a complete version of the original Warzone from console and PC.
This even includes giving players the chance to hop back into the iconic Verdansk map. This is surprising since Verdansk isn’t even available in Warzone 2.0. The mobile version is also already in the middle of its second season for those limited countries.
Warzone Mobile will receive classic multiplayer maps like Shipment for its full global release. While Warzone Mobile is primarily a battle royale game, it will also host a full multiplayer suite of traditional modes like Team Deathmatch and Domination.
