Best aim assist type in MW3 and Warzone

Aim like the pros.

Like weapon builds and FPS settings, aiming is vital throughout the various matches. The mechanic has been updated with numerous patches, making movement much smoother. However, since there are a variety of specs to choose from, we’re here to show you the best aim assist type in MW3 and Warzone.

Which aim assist type is the best in MW3 and Warzone?

Black Ops or Default are the best aim assist types in MW3 and Warzone. Both specs offer the traditional aim slowdown from past games, making it easier to shoot enemies. If you’re a BO player, then the Black Ops aim assist type is the obvious choice. On the other hand, Modern Warfare lovers should lean toward the Default, as it uses this series’ mechanics.

I’ve found both Black Ops and Default excellent for aiming, but the other aim assist types can be helpful if you fall into a specific category. While the Precision specs are reserved for veteran players (slowing the aim at just the right moment), Focusing is great for beginners, even if they miss the target by a few inches. It all depends on your niche playstyle if you prefer a certain movement.

Besides MW3 and Warzone’s aim assist, you should look into the aim response curves. This element determines the movement when switching over a target.

The best aim response curves are Dynamic or Standard types, which will (again) depend on your playstyle. Dynamic is my personal favorite, since it proves valuable for any battle scenario. It fastens the pace of aiming when switching over, then slows it down upon making the shot. I would say it works best for those who move around a lot on a map, with more compact guns like submachines.

The Standard type functions fairly closely to Dynamic, yet it does have better handling for beginner players. Instead of quickening the movement initially, it gradually speeds up when looking for a target.

Although we’ve left out Linear, this aim response curve type isn’t necessarily a bad choice. In fact, some players consider it the best setting in Warzone and MW3. However, it isn’t as balanced as Dynamic and Standard, meaning it can be hard to handle. Of course, you can take our suggestions with a grain of salt since everyone plays differently,

MW3 and Warzone Season 3 has also made some adjustments to aiming altogether. Previously, aimed-down sights forced players to refrain from holding their aim for too long. The new update should now make this feel much smoother with consistent motion curves. So, if you haven’t changed your settings in a while, you may want to tweak your specs to match the latest movements.
