Berserk Warriors (Berserk Musou) from Koei Tecmo is coming sooner than we thought. This scan confirms a September 21 release date for Japan, on the previously announced PS3, PS4, and Vita platforms. There is no word on a localization, but I’ll import this thing faster than Guts can swing a Dragonslayer if there’s no word on bringing it west by then.

As we can clearly see in this flier for the game, Guts and Griffith are in, and it will take place during the Golden Age arc. While most of the screens just show combat, there is one at the bottom that looks to confirm a boss fight with Zodd. According to Play Asia, a Steam version is being “considered,” though the question of whether or not it will come west was not directly addressed. It will also sport a CERO D (17+) rating, because Koei Tecmo will “never” do a CERO Z (18+) game.

As a reminder, the anime (set during the Black Swordsman arc) is set to debut in July, and will be simulcast on Crunchyroll. Koei Tecmo notes that “a lot” of the upcoming anime “will be crammed” into Berserk Warriors, so it will likely go past the Golden Age.
