Bayonetta is a bloody amazing addition to Xbox One

Another round of backward-compatible games

Ooh, what timing! Over the weekend, Bayonetta came up during a couple of far-reaching gaming conversations at PAX West, and now here it is, playable on Xbox One thanks to backward compatibility.

I’ll say now what I said then — it’s still worth seeking out in 2016. Platinum Games has been pumping out some not-great licensed projects as of late, but its angel-smashing action game continues to hold up fairly well. And as much as I would rather recommend the Wii U version bundled in with Bayonetta 2, if the Xbox 360 version is how it has to be, that’s fine too. Play it any way you can.

Microsoft added several other games to the backward-compatibility list, including: de Blob 2, Arkanoid Live!, Qix++, and Of Orcs and Men. I always meant to try de Blob. Seems like a “me” game.
