Bad news, band geek: DS-10 won’t be at GameStop, Target

The Korg synthesizer on a DS cartridge, the Korg DS-10, is not a game. It’s an emulation of the classic instrument MS-10 and pocket-sized musical tool that’s sure to blow the mind of anyone that’s into synthesizers and music making.

Unfortunately, because the DS-10 isn’t a game, and it carries a price tag of $40, GameStop and Target will not stock it, and Best Buy is still undecided. Today 1UP has a list, direct from publisher XSEED, of retailers that do plan to stock this software.

  • Hollywood/GameCrazy
  • Fry’s
  • Micro Center
  • EB Canada (not in U.S. GameStops)
  • J&R
  • Best Buy (still not committed)

They note that Amazon.com also has it in stock for $36.99, which makes me feel like a dildo for importing it for over $60. Whatever. I have a good song list going already.

I’m still trying to get a decent review/guide going for the DS-10. Look for that soon.
