Avalanche: Expect ‘a lot of DLC’ for Just Cause 2

Another day, another discussion about some game getting post-launch content. This time, it’s Just Cause 2, the lovable open-world game about free falling and grappling hooks from Avalanche Studios. Talking to lead designer Peter Johansson, Eurogamer got a tease of what’s to come.

“We’re going to have a lot of DLC,” says Johansson. “We’ll see what happens. DLC is important, but a game like Just Cause 2 can live pretty long because it’s not just playing through the story and being done with it — there’s the completion rating and playing with friends.”

Based on what I’ve played of the game, I’m struggling to come up with interesting things that could be added by way of add-ons. There’s so much stuff crammed in already, I don’t exactly know where the team could go from here. They’ll think of something creative, surely. I hope.
