Assassin’s Creed PSP and AC 2 can share more than weapons

Even though the PSPGo launches in North America this afternoon, bundles for the other Sony-branded portable device — the PSP-3000 — are still coming. Hitting this November, the white PSP-3000 Assassin’s Creed: Bloodlines package offers a bunch of content for 200 bones. Retailer Amazon.com has an image of the back of the box which not only reveals the pack-in stuff, but also speaks briefly to how the PSP version of the game will be able to talk to the PS3 version of Assassin’s Creed 2.

According to the image, the PSP version of the game will be to transfer data to the PS3 version and vice versa. On the PSP-to-PS3 side, players will be able to exchange Templar Coins for the currency in AC 2, as well as transfer weaponry. On the PS3-to-PSP side, players will be able to transfer Hidden Blade and Health upgrades.

We’re not sure if these are the cat’s butt or not. There’s not a copy of either of these videogames on our desks yet. We’re guessing, though, that the PSP-to-PS3 currency transfer will come in handy. Ezio can buy upgrades now and Da Vinci neglected to create a tree that grows silver and gold.

Go below the fold for the contents of this bundle, which hits November 17th, the same day AC 2 releases for the Xbox 360 and PS3.

According to the image, the bundle itself contains the aforementioned white PSP-3000, as well as a 2GB Memory Stick Pro Duo. It also ships with a physical copy of AC: Bloodlines, a PSN network voucher for the Tom Hanks thriller Angels & Demons and a voucher for ten Sony Music downloads.
