ARC Raiders is finally about to receive another major update, the first in many months. While we don’t yet know the full extent of this content patch, Embark teased what’s to come today, announcing that a proper premiere is to drop next week.
Today, Embark Studios teased the “biggest update yet” for ARC Raiders by releasing a brief, ominous video featuring the legs of a massive Arc towering above the earth, itself engulfed by a thick, mysterious mist. The Arc is so huge that the Rocketeer flying above it is literally no bigger than a speck, not to mention the regular, smaller Arcs flying underneath it.
Whether this Arc will be something that we can fight or encounter in the world remains unknown, but Embark did promise to release a proper premiere for this massive patch next week on Sept. 23.

At the end of the video, we also get a glimpse of the new outfit coming with the patch, and it seems to be heavily themed around cold and snow, giving us a tad more information about where the update will be set. I’ve been yearning for a frozen environment in ARC Raiders ever since I played the intro to the game. While that place was really under a heavy storm, the dark, brooding atmosphere really stood out to me, and I’ve been wanting to play something similar ever since.
We did get a few chances like that, but nothing even came close to what we saw in the very beginning of ARC Raiders.
Perhaps Frozen Trail can change that.
It’s also going to change the fact that this game hasn’t received a major content update for months now, leading players to review bomb the game to an extent, pushing its recent reviews to “mixed” on Steam alone. It’s a shame, really, since this is one of the finest extraction shooters ever released, and it simply deserves more. As do its players.
