The Android Market started small, but grew very quickly. The Google Mobile blog says that the Market has just passed the 10 billion download mark this past weekend. The growth rate is at one billion app downloads a month!

That big Android user base has to have Apple checking the rearview mirror constantly. Apple hit the same mark earlier this year, so Google is catching up quickly.

To celebrate, Android Market has tons of $0.10 apps on sale today. Everything, not just games. Look for them over the next ten days. You could buy 100 apps for $10 if you wanted.

$0.10 games currently available include Minecraft, Fieldrunners HD and Asphalt 6 HD. You have three dimes, don’t you?
