And knowing is half the battle: EA working on G.I. Joe game

Early in the day we brought you some Hasbro/Electronic Arts news in which any mention of G.I. Joe was sadly absent. Variety fills in the hole in our hearts, confirming that Electronic Arts will indeed be publishing a G.I. Joe title.

There’s bad news, so brace yourselves — it’s based off of the film, which is likely to be a complete and utter bastardization of the fiction some of us have come to know and love as children. We reported on some of the film’s casting late last year, when it came to light that Lost Planet actor Byung-hun Lee would be filling the tabi boots of white ninja Storm Shadow.

No details on the game were confirmed by Variety, but one can guess that the game will be playable on anything with a screen. In other news, Ziff Davis staff members are off somewhere snickering in your general direction — Electronic Gaming Monthy‘s Quartermann mentioned this title some time ago in his/her/its monthly column.
