All Springtrap perks and abilities in Dead by Daylight

Springtrap is the FNAF-inspired killer that will make its entry in Dead by Daylight, and you can try out the new horror if you’re on PC.

Behaviour Interactive has already introduced the new killer and what to expect from it. The first step is to test Sprintrap out, and we’ll elaborate on the exact steps. Let’s quickly take a look at how to equip the new killer, along with more information on its perks and abilities.

All Springtrap perks in Dead by Daylight

The Animatronic has its tools for effortless killing that you can enjoy inside the game.

Perk Name	Ability
Help Wanted	Compromise a Generator and temporarily reduce your Basic Attack Cooldowns once the Generator has been repaired. Your cooldowns will reduce by 25% for 40/50/60 seconds.
Phantom Fear	A nearby survivor will be overcome by fear and scream out in terror upon seeing you, which will briefly reveal their Aura in the process. The Aura will be visible for 2 seconds with a 80/70/60 seconds cooldown.
Haywire	This endgame ability will force survivors to think hard and fast. Once the Exit Gates are fully powered up, the progress will decline once a Survivor is forced to leave.

Like all killers, Springtrap will have a strong arsenal of moves up its sleeves to eliminate the survivors before they can escape. A coordinated approach, however, will allow you to escape its clutches by saving yourself and your allies from the Security Room, which will be The Animatronic’s playground.

The Animatronic will be a dangerous foe for any survivor, and for very good reasons.

Special Ability: Fire Axe

• The Fire Axe can be thrown at Survivors, and the weapon will be embedded in them. The Survivor will have to remove the Axe before they can behealed.

Special Map Feature: Security System

• 7 Security Doors will be spawned randomly at the start of a trial. Both Survivors and Springtrap can access these doors. Each door has a camera, and Survivors can use the Camera View features to travel to any Door, and reveal Springtrap’s Aura. Unlike Survivors, The Animatronic won’t require Battery Power to travel between the Doors. It will also automatically grab a Survivor if the two reach the same Door.

You can empower The Animatronic further with the help of Add-Ons and Offering. The new scare officially makes its debut in June.

How to equip Springtrap in Dead by Daylight

As of writing, Springtrap can only be activated on PC as it’s part of the PBT (Public Beta Test). The first task will be to get the public beta version. If you have never tried it in the past, here are the steps.

• Go to your library and scroll down to where Dead by Daylight is present on the list of your games.
• Open Properties and pick Beta from the left.
• You’ll be able to select the required version of the Beta. Go for PTB.
• This will automatically download the PTB branch of the game.
• Load it up, and you’ll be able to enjoy all the changes that have been announced on May 27, which also includes the new killer.

All the features of the upcoming patch, including Springtrap, will be added to the official version after the full release.
