Valheim 1.0 has added plenty of new tools, weapons, and armor sets, and we can craft them on the new crafting stations. Their additions have completely revamped crafting from how it used to work previously.
Let’s find out how you craft these new benches and what resources you’ll need.
How to get all new crafting stations in Valheim 1.0
The 1.0 update has added five different crafting stations that you can build. However, you’ll need the Workbench to craft most of them. Few recipes can also be crafted at the Black Forge and Galdr Table.

While the Deep North biome has been added as part of the update, the following recipes are not exclusive to the new location.
| Workstation Recipe | Source | Resources |
|---|---|---|
| Frost Foundry | Workbench | 20x Stone 15x Iron 5x Frostcore |
| Frost Kiln | Workbench | 20x Stone 10x Frostcore 5x Ice |
| Smith’s Aprons | Black Forge | 8x Timberwood 5x Bloodgold 2x Moose Hide |
| Smoker | Workbench | 6x Timberwood 5x Bloodgold |
| Standing Loom | Galdr Table | 10x Nornathread 5x Timberwood |
Most of the required resources are easy to obtain, and they’re spread across the different biomes. I would prioritize getting those workstations up first that you’re going to need more.
If you want the easy way out and don’t want to go through the grind, you can simply resort to the help of console commands and cheats. While they will immediately allow you to have these crafting stations, it certainly takes away the fun of the in-game grind.
If you’re just getting started with the 1.0 version, I highly recommend getting the Grappling Hook first.
