Sprites are the central focus of Fortnite in Chapter Seven, season three, and there are plenty to be found in each match. This season’s island has lots of Sprites hidden in its nooks and corners, all of which can be added to your collection.
The number of available Sprites consistently grows, with fresh ones typically launching every week. This can make finding them all fairly tough, so if you want to ensure you manage to find them all, here are all Sprites, their unique abilities, and how to get them in Fortnite.

How to find Sprites in Fortnite

Sprites don’t have a fixed location, and they can spawn anywhere on the map, as they function as random loot drops. The only real way to guarantee you get one is by finding and opening Sprite Chests, as these loot containers will always drop one.
Although the vast majority of Sprites can only be obtained as random loot, there are a few that have some special, guaranteed spawn locations or conditions, making them a bit easier to find. Here’s a full breakdown of all fixed Spawn locations or conditions for some Sprites.
- Boss Sprites always drop upon defeating any boss.
- Ghost Sprites can only be found wandering around the island at night.
- Striker Sprites always drop upon scoring a goal at the Soccer Pitch POI.
- Fishy Sprites have a higher chance of dropping when fishing.
If you’re having trouble finding Sprites, you can also visit Extraction Sites and spend some Sprite Dust to mark nearby Sprites, if there are any. And once you’ve got a Sprite, you must extract it, either using a Portable Extractor or by visiting an Extraction Site, to officially register it in your collection.
All Sprite variants in Fortnite

All Sprites, except for TheBurntPeanut, can also come in six different special, rare variants. Each type of variant grants some extra buffs on top of the main Sprite ability. Here’s a breakdown of each variant you may find, and what each one does.
| Rarity | Effect |
|---|---|
| Gold | Grants 3x bonus Sprite XP from eliminations. |
| Gummy | Grants 20 percent more Sprite Dust when extracted. |
| Holofoil | Grants your full team a 30 percent chance to find rare Sprites from containers. |
| Gem | Grants a 30 percent reduction to fall damage. |
| Galaxy | Grants 30 percent more ammo when picked up. |
