Updated on April 4th, 2025: Added 3rd Stage Arata Armor Guide.
The Commission of Counter Ghoul (CCG) is still the best faction in the GHOUL://RE. Not only do you have Quinques and can loot the Kuganes of deceased Ghouls, but there’s one other power players often omit—the Arata Proto. It’s mainly because it’s a bit convoluted to get, so I’ve decided to jump in and create a guide to all CCG Arata Requirements, with a full list of necessary mats.

How to Get CCG Arata Proto Stage 1 in Ghoul Re
If you’re aiming to get your hands on the Arata Proto in GHOUL://RE, there’s a bit of a grind involved—but it’s totally worth it. Most of the things required can basically be completed by playing the game anyway, so it’s like some massive side quest. Without further ado, here’s a step-by-step guide to help you through the process.
Step 1: Become a Special Class Investigator

First things first, you need to reach the rank of Special Class Investigator. This is the highest rank you can achieve as a CCG member. To climb the ranks, focus on defeating enemies, completing missions, participating in events, and especially taking down bosses. If you want to move faster, check out all the essential GHOUL://RE locations. Essentially, all of these activities contribute to your Reputation, which is crucial for the next step.
Tip: Bosses give a solid chunk of Reputation, so prioritize them whenever possible.
Step 2: Reach 25,000 Reputation
Once you’re on the grind, your next target is this set of CCG Arata requirements is to hit at least 25,000 Reputation. This is the minimum required to start crafting what you need for the Arata Proto.
You can earn Reputation by:
- Finishing quests: I’d recommend Anteiku for more efficient leveling since you get a lot of easy delivery quests that are ideally done in groups.
- Participating in special events: While not as reliable as the other two methods, special events can bring a ton of experience in a short time period, so don’t disregard them completely.
- Defeating Ghouls and bosses: Don’t waste time and check out our guide to all the GHOUL://RE boss locations to get both extra Rep and Kakuja Fragments. Also, make sure you’re not alone, since you’ll die. A LOT.
To check how much Reputation you have, talk to Saiyo Natsuki at the CCG headquarters. Press “P” to bring up the location marker and follow it straight to them.

Step 3: Craft Five One-Eyed Kakuja Fragments
Here’s where things get a little more involved. To unlock the Arata Proto, you’ll need to craft 5 One Eyed Kakuja Fragments. To do that, you’ll have to gather the following materials:
- 2 One Eyed Fragments: These are dropped by Eto and Tatara, one of the raid bosses. Both can be found within the Boss Raid.
- 2 Kakuja Fragments: Each Kakuja Fragment is crafted from the following:
- 5 Bikaku Fragments
- 5 Ukaku Fragments
- 5 Koukaku Fragments
- 5 Rinkaku Fragments
Here’s a quick rundown of each fragment:
- Rinkaku Fragment: Primarily used for Ken’s Kagune and Yamori, though Yamori doesn’t have a v2 version yet. When consumed, it grants 1000-2000 RC.
- Koukaku Fragment: Used in Kagunes like Beaked and Tsukiyama, as well as CCG weapons like IXA, Serrate, Yukimura, and Doujima. Eating one gives around 1000-2000 RC and contributes to V2 progression for Ghouls.
- Ukaku Fragment: Required for Kagunes such as Takizawa and Wing, and weapons like Narukami, Nutcracker, and Kajiri. Grants 1000-2000 RC when eaten, and Ghouls can use it for V2 progress.
- Bikaku Fragment: Useful for crafting Nishio and Noro Kagunes and several weapons including Serrate, Nutcracker, Demon Yamada, and Scorpion. Like others, it yields 1000-2000 RC when consumed and aids V2 development for Ghouls.
- Kakuja Fragment: Can’t be eaten and is mainly used for crafting Jason’s Weapon. You’ll need five of each of the above fragments to make one.

You can collect these base fragments by completing missions or looting from defeated players and bosses. Once you have them, use the crafting bench at the CCG headquarters to combine them into Kakuja Fragments.
Step 4: Talk to Damir D. Mado

After you’ve successfully crafted five One Eyed Kakuja Fragments, take them to Damir D. Mado. Contrary to popular belief, you DON’T HAVE TO talk to the NPC on top of the construction site. This was a false rumor, which has now been debunked. To kickstart the crafting process, just talk to the receptionist, who’ll direct you towards Damir. You can find him on the second floor of the CCG base. Hand over the items, and in return, you’ll unlock the powerful Arata Proto.
How to Get Stage 2 Arata in Ghoul Re
For Arata stages 2 and 3, you will have to play in permadeath mode in order to get the legendary armor. Our advice is to keep a loyal and strong company, since single-player missions often yield frustrating results.
Stage 2 Arata Requirements
Now, once you have collected 100.000 Reputation points, go to the elevator in the C.C.G. building and go to the Laboratory. Talk to the guy with the scalpel, dressed in a black suit, by the name of Black Reaper of Doom And Despair.

After you give him five one-eyed Kokuja fragments, with a 100.000 Reputation, you will complete Stage two of acquiring Arata armor.
How to Get Arata Stage 3 in Ghoul Re
The final Arata Stage also involves “The Scalpel Guy”, some fragments, and a hefty chink of cash. Like the second Arata stage, you have to be in PD mode to continue your quest for the epic armor.
Stage 3 Arata Requirements
Now, when you gather five one-eyed fragments and save up 500.000 Yen, you can visit Black Reaper of Doom And Despair again, and when you pay him the money, he will teleport you to Kishou Arima boss. Repeating the boss fight will require another payment, so be prepared in advance.

And there you have it! Defeat Kishou Arima boss and claim your personal Arata armor. But be careful; while Arata armor offers some truly cool buffs, it is quite detrimental to your body, as listed below.
Arata Armor Specs.
Arata drains your hunger, and you can’t eat while you are wearing it, but it offers one huge benefit: you can’t be ragdolled at all! I also give you an equipment buff, and you become quite “tanky” when you wear it, capable of some outstanding melee feats against many opponents.
If the armor depletes your hunger bar, it will start devouring your health bar. So be careful, you can always take it off when it becomes too dangerous, and put it back on when your belly goes full again.
As you can see, the grind isn’t overly horrendous and the Arata Proto is definitely worth it for any CCG. If you want to optimize your gameplay and make use of every hourly reset, check out our full list of items in GHOUL://RE and know which gear to aim for.
