Adam Sessler covers his career through videogame memories

Guest editorial is a good read

I’ve been doing this writing about videogames thing for a decade now, and I’ve met a lot of amazing people and have made some friends for life during that time. As much as I love games, it’s really the people that make this the greatest job in the universe, and that’s why I’ll likely never leave.

One of my absolute favorite of all that I’ve come to know is Adam Sessler. Earlier this year he wrapped up a long, memorable career in videogames. Nicest dude you’ll ever meet, sure, but he’s also one of the most legit in our game. He’ll tell it like it is. He’s also an outstanding drinking partner.

Sessler’s guest editorial on Kotaku this morning is a fantastic read. He covers his memories of his 16-year videogame career through games, tying them to where he was in life at the time. It goes from the beginning, from fond memories, up through 486 computers onto the dot com boom, and then to X-Play, Rev3 Games, and beyond. 

Man, I hope I can look back like this one day.
