Activision won’t have an E3 booth, will have a new Infinity Ward game

Perhaps…a new Call of Duty…hehehe

Another major video game publisher will not have an E3 booth presence. Call of Duty publisher Activision is skipping out on floor space, just like Electronic Arts.

Activision explained in a blog post, “we’re going to be at E3 showcasing gameplay from Infinity Ward’s ambitious new game. We’re looking forward to sharing exciting new details about the next great Call of Duty game in partnership with our friends at PlayStation. We’re proud to be participating in this premier video game event, but won’t have an Activision booth on the show floor.”

It makes some sense. Sony will be pimping Call of Duty and Destiny hard for the company, why deck out all that expensive floor space with giant A/V technologies to, what, show off Skylanders to a few more GameStop managers? EA’s got a decent idea hosting an E3-adjacent event where it can demo all of its E3 lineup to the public.
