Activision boss Mike Griffith to give keynote at 2009 CES

Ah, CES. The Consumer Electronic Show is the last proper mega-convention, if you ask me. It’s definitely the bastion of booth babes; they have no problem with even lingerie-clad women walking around to flaunt their assets.

Being a consumer electronics show, videogames only play a small role here, but Destructoid still shows up to cover what’s there. This year we were privy to one of the first looks at The Force Unleashed at CES. It’s always worth the trip. And, come on — it’s Las Vegas!

Activision’s president and CEO of publishing, Mike Griffith, will be one of the keynote speakers at the 2009 Consumer Electronics Show, set to take place in Las Vegas on January 8-11. He will be joined by Dirk Meyer, president and CEO of AMD, and Anne Sweeney, co-chair, Disney Media Networks.

Griffith will speak on Friday, the 9th. He’s been running the show at Activision publishing since 2005, playing a big role in making the company the major player it is today. Under him, Activision’s revenues have more than doubled, thanks to hits like the Call of Duty and Guitar Hero series.
