Ace Combat Joint Assault announced for PSP

Ace Combat comes to the PSP in Joint Assault, which has nothing with the breaking of kneecaps or anything. This is the airplane game. There’s 40 licensed aircraft that you’ll be able to fly over places like Tokyo, San Francisco, London and more. Dogfighting is what you’ll mostly do, and that extends to both ad hoc and infrastructure multiplayer.

They call it Joint Assault as you can team up with three friends and take on enemies in campaign mode. If you’re feeling more deathmatchy, there’s an 8-player multiplayer mode that’s sure to be crazy.

I’d like to see how the series’ photorealistic graphics translate to the PSP. I’m sure we’ll see more before the release date, which Namco Bandai says will be “this year.”
