Do you have a dollar to spare? I recommend you put it toward 8bits Fanatics‘ newest Xbox LIVE Indie title, Aban Hawkins & the 1000 Spikes. The trailer warned this would not be an easy game, but uh, I guess I was expecting something different? Think Rick Dangerous with way more out-of-nowhere traps.
To be fair, if I were going to build secret temples containing treasure, I’d make would-be heroes work for their valuables. So far, my favorite part was right at the beginning of Aban Hawkins where it’s made clear you literally have 1,000 lives to burn away.
Funnier still, that’s actually a very reasonable number in the context of this game. Go here to add it to your queue. I can’t wait to see what these guy(s) come up with next.
