I studied musical theatre for years in high school and college and loved every second of it, and if I could have convinced myself that moving to New York and living on a waiter’s salary to survive between auditions could have ever gotten me a job on stage, I would have done it. Of course, I’m probably better off wailing the lyrics to Little Shop of Horrors alone in my car, but that’s neither here nor there.
Nobuooo reported recently that Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Really Useful Group is in talks with several game publishers to try to develop a singing game where players can perform the popular songs from Webber’s big shows such as Cats, Phantom of the Opera, Jesus Christ Superstar and more.
I realize that I am losing cool points by the moment as I admit this … but I would really enjoy this game. At least I know Chad Concelmo would still be my friend. After all, we did do that musical RetroforceGO! episode …. and Jim Sterling sang me Jesus Christ Superstar songs in the hot tub that one time.
[Thanks, Rio!]
