Petit Computer may be DSiWare’s most ambitious release

This is out of control. Smile Boom has detailed Petit Computer, a Japanese DSiWare title that literally lets you build your own games. And we’re not talking WarioWare D.I.Y.-level games, either.

There are various tools and editors to help expedite the process, but don’t be fooled — there’s actual programming involved here. Petit Computer allows users to code in BASIC with a virtual keyboard. It’s coming out on March 9 for 800 DSi Points.

I doubt we’ll see the application hit outside of Japan, but that sure would be neat. This single-handedly makes up for all of those lame clocks and calendars.
