Killzone 3 has over 70 minutes of cutscenes

The BBFC has rated Killzone 3 for British gamers, and spilled a few beans for us in the process — revealing that the PS3 sequel will boast over seventy minutes of cutscenes. Looks like you’ll be doing plenty of watching as well as shooting this time around.

A few people have already begun to overreact, claiming Killzone to now be more movie than game. Of course, seventy minutes looks utterly mild compared to Metal Gear Solid 4, so I think we’ll be alright. In fact, I don’t see this as a negative at all — I take it as a sign that Guerrilla is putting some effort into the story, which has always been Killzone‘s weakest element.

So you know what? Screw the haters. Seventy minutes of plot sounds good to me. I just hope that Guerrilla doesn’t devote too many of those minutes to that utter prick Rico.

Or, even better, we get ten whole minutes of watching him die in the most terrible of ways. Maybe something where he vomits up one of his lungs. I would masturbate to that.
