Nintendo considering Super Mario All-Stars Wii reprint

The limited-edition Wii version of Super Mario All-Stars has come and gone — yeah, it happened that quickly — but this may not be the end for the compilation disc’s retail presence.

“We are gratified by the consumer response to this limited-edition product, which we created to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the original Super Mario Bros. game on NES,” Nintendo PR director Marc Franklin expressed to Wired.com.

“Because of the strong response, we are exploring the option of bringing this item back at a later date. Until that decision is made, consumers should check with retailers, as supplies will vary by store.”

I’m sure some of you decided against getting the game because you figured the purchase could wait while you got a newer title in the meantime. Well, let’s hope for your sake Nintendo issues a reprint. The demand certainly appears to be there.
