Shrugcraft: Minecraft hits 4 million sold mark

Recommended Videos

For me, Minecraft came and went. It was a thing, and then it wasn’t. Watercooler talk, boxy headed cosplay, boxes in general — all over for me. But maybe that’s just me and my short attention span, as this wildly successful indie game is selling faster than ever.

Early today Minecraft passed the 4 million sold mark. Wow. Gamasutra says that the game now has over 16 million registrations, which means that about 25 percent of users who sign up go paid with the full version. Looking at past records, it seems that daily sales have doubled!

Minecraft is still in beta, with the full version coming later this month.

Are you still all up in Minecraft?
