EA Sports has released the first look at the upcoming Fight Night Champion, and it’s full of sweat, bloody lips, and drama.
Set for release next year, Fight Night Champion aims for a grittier vibe than the previous games, and that definitely comes across in this clip. There seems to be a heavier focus on narrative, which jives with the more emotional and dramatic direction the developers have hinted at in the past.
It also looks damn good, but all of the Fight Night games have, so it’s no surprise. It’s hard to get a sense of what’s change about the gameplay from this trailer, but expect a new animation system and control scheme EA is calling “Full Spectrum Punch Control.”
Fight Night Champion is out on March 1, 2011 for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
