Shantae’s new DSiWare romp gets a release date

Recommended Videos

Man, what is it with tonight and DSiWare news? First the Cave Story DSiWare announcement, and now we hear that long awaited Shantae reboot is finally about to see the light of day. We first heard about this game over a year ago, so it’s a relief to know that it’s almost here. This news come via the lovely Tony Ponce, who received the image above from the official Shantae email newsletter. That means it must be legit, right fellas?

Pokemon Black/White may not work in my DSi, but with games like this, who needs Pokemon? Shantae on the GBC was one of the most beautifully animated, well crafted games to ever hit the console, and I’m sure this updated sequel will be no different.

Like the sign says, Shantae: Risky’s Revenge will be released on October 4th, 2010.
