Live show: Backlog saves the game in 3D Dot Game Heroes

[Backlog is the ongoing quest to rid Conrad Zimmerman’s collection of unfinished games. As voted on by the Destructoid community, Conrad plays each game from start to finish live on Destructoid’s Twitch.tv channel every weeknight at 8pm Pacific]

Hi. My name is Conrad and I am addicted to autosave. It happened so slowly, enough that I didn’t even notice that I was slowly becoming dependent. I could put the game down, walk away for hours to do something more pressing and return with little fear that my game would be lost. Soon, this progressed into overconfidence as I would press on past boss encounters without creating a back-up save file at all.

Last night, I lost hours of work in 3D Dot Game Heroes after the game crashed because I hadn’t saved since Monday. Sometimes, when things like this happen, I think that there’s no point in going on and should just give up. But no. I can fight my addiction and I can win.

Tune in to Destructoid’s Twitch.tv channel and join me for Backlog as I continue to play 3D Dot Game Heroes and hang out with the goons in our live chat. It’s all going down right now.
