Real Madrid’s Kaka announced as FIFA 11 cover athlete

EA Sports has announced that Brazilian soccer star Kaká (pronounced kuh-KA, not like “caca,” you immature dolts) will be on the cover of every copy of FIFA 11. But he’s just one of 17 footballers who will appear on the box — the game will have territory-specific packaging, so players from teams in other countries will join Kaká on the box in those respective nations. (At this time, EA is not revealing the other cover athletes.)

Kaká is one of the best midfielders in the world, having won the Ballon d’Or and FIFA World Player of the Year awards in 2007, and scored 133 goals in 372 career appearances as a member of São Paulo FC, A.C. Milan, Real Madrid, and the Brazilian national team.. He’s excited about his cover appearance: “Being on the FIFA Soccer 11 cover is a great honor for me since very few players have this opportunity, and there have been some great players featured on the cover of this truly amazing videogame.”

FIFA 11 is due out on September 28 in North America, and October 1 in Europe and Asia, for PS3, 360, Wii, PC, PSP, PS2, DS, and mobile platforms. You can check out two desktop-wallpaper-size Kaká posters in the gallery below.
