Deadly Premonition’s Agent York was voiced by Seaman

Anybody who has played the now legendary cult hit Deadly Premonition has the voice of FBI Special Agent Francis “Call-Me-York” Morgan trapped within their brain. I love the completely dismissive, subconscious rudeness in his tone and he fast became one of my favorite game characters ever. Turns out, I’m much more familiar with that voice than I thought.

Jeff Kramer, the voice of Morgan, had a leading role in another cult hit. He was the voice of the man you create in the Dreamcast title, Seaman. The information came to light in an interview with Deadly Premonition‘s designer, SWERY.

Holy crap. If you have played Seaman before, you know how creepy and weird that voice is. But I can totally hear it now, hear that derision which plagued my nightmares. I can see visions of maladjusted, mutant fish dancing before my eyes. Please, someone hold me…
