Killzone 3 teaser is like a boot/gun/elbow to the face

Sony and Guerilla have released the first trailer for Killzone 3, and it’s suitably violent, as one might expect.

While the trailer doesn’t appear to be in-game, it does focus on one of the title’s new gameplay mechanics, “Brutal Melee.” We see a soldier boot a Helghast in the face, smash the butt of his gun into the grill of another, and take yet another down from behind. One even gets a knife the chest, but he’s the lucky one — the trailer closes with a Helghast getting decapitated, its head thrown into a pile of disembodied noggins.
