NCSoft trademarks ‘City of Heroes 2’

Superannuation noticed a trademark filing on April 1st by NCSoft for “City of Heroes 2.” Now, I’m not a genius, but I think that would suggest that a sequel to the rather popular City of Heroes MMO is coming down the pipeline.

City of Heroes has had a pretty good run, having put out fifteen expansions since releasing in 2005. I remember being interested in the game before it released, even getting a friend of mine who rarely plays games to pick it up. Of course, I never played because I have deep seated fears of commitment.

Good times, though. I’m sure we’ll hear an official announcement of the game from NCSoft in the not-too-distant future.
