Star Wars: Dark Forces coming to PlayStation Network

Who remembers the good old days of Star Wars FPS games that kicked ass? We do, which is why we’re rather stoked to see that a classic, Star Wars: Dark Forces, is headed to the PlayStation Network for you to enjoy on your PS3 or PSP.

The game was outed by the ESRB, who has made a nice habit of revealing upcoming PSOne Classics. If you’ve never heard of the game, it’s a 1996 shooter that was pretty much DOOM with Stormtroopers. Dark Forces was among the first FPS games to expand the genre, adding in now common elements like ducking, jumping, and looking vertically as well as horizontally.

Just last night I was looking at the old Dark Forces era Star Wars games and considering a download. You probably should too.
