So many protagonists, so little time.

One of the great things about being Square Enix is it has such a rich and diverse history of RPGs from the NES, SNES, and PlayStation eras it can pull from when it wants to remaster a classic. Case in point, SaGa Frontier. Originally released for the PlayStation back in 1997, the seventh game in the SaGa franchise will have a chance to find a brand new audience when SaGa Frontier Remastered hits Switch, PlayStation 4, Steam, iOS, and Android next summer.

Not only will this remaster bring the original game into the HD era, but it’s also adding some features, like new cutscenes and events and a new protagonist named Fuse. It’s nice to see Square Enix really giving the SaGa series a second chance. As a reminder, the first three games in the series, Collection of SaGa Final Fantasy Legend, come to Nintendo Switch next month.
