GDC 11: Digital Extremes talks The Darkness 2 (video)

Later this year, Dark Sector developer Digital Extremes will release its take on Top Cow’s The Darkness.

We got our first look at The Darkness 2, the follow up to 2007’s Starbreeze Studios-developed title, at GDC this week. We’ll have a full write-up of what we saw soon, but to get you quickly up to speed, we sat down with project director Sheldon Carter to give us the lowdown on the upcoming title.

In our brief interview, Carter drops a few vague story hints, tells us about the new uses for the game’s Darkness powers, and more. Bonus: since 2K Games hasn’t released any gameplay footage, Destructoid’s Max Scoville and Hamza Aziz step in to leave nothing to your imagination.
